Day 4

Today started off with yet another top class (early morning) training session. The Wembley arch acts as the perfect backdrop to put everything in perspective and remind us what a unique and special experience this is.

This afternoon we finally got an opportunity to see many of the must see attractions of London. We began with a boat trip through the winding river Thames. Following that we then took a intriguing walking tour through the historic landmarks such as "Big Ben", Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. When you come to London you simply must visit these places. From here on the guys will forever remember they got that chance. Nothing can take that away.

The team drew a large crowd when attempting to fit as many as they could into a traditional London phone booth. Despite the valiant attempt, the record remains safe. Matt Dickmann, as a criminal justice major, also appropriately purchased a replica London "bobby" helmet and proudly wore it the rest of the day. A highlight of the day was unquestionably everybody photo bombing some newly weds outside of Buckingham Palace!

The team continue to adapt to English culture. Coach Mark and I fielded many questions on the intricacies of the sport of cricket while we all watched the England v India test match. Most were in shock that a single match goes on for 5 days! Everyone is also slowly learning to look in the correct direction when crossing the road. No more near misses!

This was a perfect more traditional touristy day before the big weekend of top class live "footy" ahead.
