Day 2

We have now arrived safely at our hotel literally just a few steps away from the iconic Wembley Stadium. It has been a very eventful journey with plenty of interesting stories already to tell...

It all started over 24 hours ago back in Boston. I won't name names but a certain former captain of the team managed to lose his boarding pass within seconds of receiving it. How this happened, we are not quite sure but we found it eventually and proceeded on.

Once on the plane our very own 'Spirit', was able to gain access to the cock pit and meet the pilot! Certainly something to tell the grand kids! The entertainment did not dwindle until we arrived in Reykjavik.

Upon finally arriving at London, Heathrow at about midday local time. Coach Siebert, Coach Mark and myself sauntered through European customs while the rest of the group was given a special line to themselves. Everyone was happy! Following that we were chauffeured straight to the training pitch (more new lingo!). We were fortunate to play on the complex of Queens Park Rangers, a team in the English premiership. That loosened everyone up and stopped everyone from falling asleep.

To end the day we were whisked off to Central London's notorious Covent Garden before retreating to the hotel for a late dinner.

What a first day and a half, and still so much more to come!
